Students looking for ways to enjoy this upcoming Labor Day weekend can come relax and enjoy the outdoors this Sunday with SUBOG's outdoor screening of "Forgetting Sarah Marshall." The movie, which will be free to attend, will be shown at 8:00 p.m. outside the Student Union Mall.

The event is a part of UConn's "Week of Welcome" program and is now the second annual outdoor movie screening put together by SUBOG.

"We [SUBOG] did this event last year and showed 'Wedding Crashers' and it was a big success so we decided to try it again this year," said SUBOG's vice president of programming, Miguel Almodovar.

"We chose 'Forgetting Sarah Marshall' because it's a movie that has appeal for everyone - something for boys, something for girls, something for people who are single or in relationships. We really tried to pick the most inclusive movie we could. It's an easy event for people to come to, you just need to grab a blanket and come outside we're going to have popcorn here for free from catering and it should be a good time for everybody."

The film, which was nominated for five awards for the 2008 Teen Choice Awards, is by the same people who made such cinematic gems as "The 40-year-old Virgin," and "Knocked Up." The film stars Jason Segel as Peter Bretter, who has just been dumped by his famous TV star girlfriend Sarah Marshall (Kristen Bell). Peter decides to repair his broken heart by taking a vacation to Hawaii, but is surprised to find his now ex-girlfriend staying at the same hotel with her new rock star boyfriend Aldous Snow (Russell Brand). Love, learning, and laughs ensue as Peter meets hotel employee Rachel Jansen (Mila Kunis).

Lauren Dilello, a 5th-semester nutrition major, attended the "Wedding Crashers" screening last year.

"It was so much fun! It was nice that I didn't have to pay $10 like at the regular theater, and it gave my friends and I something to do outside of the usual things that we do," she said. "Plus it was an awesome movie."
