Although their lives are taped and made into reality TV shows, a reality star's show doesn't always keep up with their most current problems and events. Recently, the stars of reality shows have been making headlines for things other than their most recent episode.
Shane Llamas from the E! reality show "Leave It To Llamas" was arrested in Venice, Calif. on suspicion of DUI on Sat., Nov. 14. Llamas explained her situation in a statement to E! News saying, "Early Saturday morning, after consuming one drink, I willingly drove through a mandatory check point on my way home with complete confidence of passing. However, the breathalyzer indicated that I was over the legal limit of blood alcohol content and was arrested onsite. I take full responsibility for my lack of judgment."
Stephanie Pratt, from "The Hills," has just pleaded not guilty to her DUI charge. According to "US Magazine," the reality star pleaded not guilty to misdemeanor DUI Friday in a Los Angeles court and agreed to enroll in a 30-day residential rehab facility.
The Kardashian women from E!'s "Keeping Up With The Kardashians" just threw expecting mother, Kourtney Kardashian a baby shower. According to People.com, almost 80 guests attended the party, hosted at the family's home in Hidden Hills, Calif., Kardashian is due in December.
Jon Gosselin, of "Jon and Kate Plus 8," has filed a $5 million lawsuit against TLC, claiming that the network damaged his reputation and career. According to "US Magazine," The suit alleges that TLC contacted various media outlets and persuaded them not to hire him for anything. Gosselin is due in court on Dec. 14.
Nene Leakes and Kim Zolciak, stars of "The Real Housewives of Atlanta," are working on remaining civil toward each other. Despite the several fights that occurred between the two on the show, Leakes told "People Magazine" that "We're trying to be peaceful with each other. Kim and I have an up-and-down relationship. Don't be surprised if we have a falling out again. That's just how we are."
According to Perezhilton.com, Matthew Mercuro, the chief financial officer for Ryan Sheckler, star of MTV's "Life of Ryan," has been arrested and charged for embezzling $365,000 from the reality star and pro skateboarder. The Huntington Beach Police are currently investigating the case, and if found guilty, Mercuro could serve up to six years and eight months in a state prison.
