The staff of The Daily Campus will be spotlighting one individual each week whose performance stands out amongst all others. This week, we chose to honor Lawrence Wilson, who scored the game-winning touchdown in UConn's 26-21 victory over Louisville.

What happened when you scored on the game-winning interception return versus Louisville? We were in man coverage; usually in man coverage you have to be aggressive on your back. The running back didn't release because we were getting a great pass rush the whole game, so he had to stay home and block. I just read the quarterback's eyes and got in the position to make the play.

Now that you guys are ranked, do you feel you're finally getting the recognition you deserve? Just a little recognition. Those rankings really don't mean too much because USC was No. 1 and they lost, so anything can happen.

Where does that Louisiville game rank among the most emotional victories you've had in your entire career? That ranked as one of my personal best because I played a big role in that win.

Who first gave you the nickname 'Bama? The first person to give me that nickname was [former UConn football player] Darren McCann. We were playing basketball and pretty much everyone had a nickname. He called me 'Bama and it just stuck.

What are your hobbies outside of playing football? Video games, playing a little basketball and just relaxing.

Who is your favorite musician? Lil' Wayne.

Who is your favorite athlete? Kobe Bryant.

What football player do you try to pattern yourself after? DeMeco Ryans of the Houston Texans. He played college ball at Alabama, which is about 15 minutes up the road from my house.

The Weekly Honor Roll:

O'Brian White, men's soccer: Scored the game-winning goal on a header in the 101st minute against Syracuse in double-overtime to give UConn a 1-0 win,
