Game of the Week:

NCAA Football, No. 20 Brigham Young University's 14-13 win over No. 3 Oklahoma

It was one of four top-25 matchups this weekend, and one which provided the most interesting storyline.

In the closing seconds of the first half, Sam Bradford, last year's Heisman winner, sprained his throwing shoulder as he was tackled to the ground. The extent of Bradford's injury is still unknown.

With some questionable coaching calls and a late breakdown in Oklahoma's defense, BYU came out of week one with what may end up being the biggest upset in college football this season.

Big Letdowns: LeGarrette Blount, Shawne Merriman

Not only did Oregon's running back rush for negative five yards on eight carries in the Ducks 19-8 loss to Boise State, but Blount will forever be known as the senior running back who ruined his career by not keeping his cool in the post-game handshakes.

After Boise State's defensive end Byron Hout shouted something in Blount's face, Blount ended the discussion with a sucker punch across Hout's jaw.

Oregon then decided to suspend Blount for the entire season.

San Diego County Sherriff said Merriman was arrested early Sunday morning when Tila Tequila, star of the former MTV television show "Shot of Love with Tila Tequila," signed a citizen's arrest warrant charging the Chargers linebacker with battery and false imprisonment.

Number of the week: 17

The number of consecutive losing seasons the Pittsburgh Pirates will have after this year. That mark is a new MLB record for any team in the four major North American professional team sports.
