Though the first round is in the books, there was still plenty of talent available in the second and third round of the UConn Fantasy Draft. Thanks to the ever-popular serpentine format, East Campus was the first pick. Here is how the draft played out:
Second Round
11. East - Andre Dixon, junior, football 2007 rank: 5 (133 points) Brown is the starter, but Dixon, who added strength to become a more effective between-the-tackles runner, is just one injury from fantasy stardom.
12. Buckley - Katie Semanoff, junior, field hockey 2007 rank: 16 (92 points) Semanoff will look to build on the offensive tear that she went on after being moved from midfielder to forward late last season.
13. Towers - Akeem Preistly, senior, men's soccer 2007 rank: 13 (100 points) Priestly, who scored just three goals last season, will be counted on to be more than just a set-up man this year.
14. South - Scott Lutrus, sophomore, football 2007 rank: 20 (88 points) After briefly being moved to inside linebacker, Lutrus is back at his old position and poised to fill the shoes of the graduated Danny Lansanah as the Huskies' leading tackler.
15. West - Erin Clark, sophomore, women's soccer 2007 rank: NR The graduations of leading scorers Meghan Schnur and Karyn Riviere make Clark a likely candidate to become UConn's top offensive force.
16. Charter Oak - Joey Michaels, senior, men's tennis 2007 rank: 10 (120 points) Though he is disappointed about falling into the second round, Michaels is absolutely ecstatic with the short commute to the tennis courts.
17. Shippee - Jessica Isaac, junior, volleyball 2007 rank: 15 (92 points) After going volleyball in the first round, Shippee gets good value here in Isaac.
18. Northwest - Andrew Marcus, sophomore, men's tennis 2007 rank: 10 (120 points) Northwest drafts wise beyond its years as it nabs the No. 10 ranked player with the No. 18 pick.
19. Hilltop - Kate Seabaugh, junior, volleyball 2007 rank: 17 (90 points) Seabaugh has been a major fantasy contributor in her first two years at UConn and will benefit from seeing more time after the graduation of outside hitter Sade Chambers.
20. North - Elizabeth Eng, senior, women's soccer 2007 rank: NR Eng will be relied upon heavily to provide punch to an offense that was lethargic at times last year.
Third Round
21. North - Mike Pezza, senior, men's soccer
22. Hilltop - Emily Herb, sophomore, women's tennis
23. Northwest - Lawrence Wilson, sophomore, football
24. Shippee - Kacey Richards, sophomore, women's soccer
25. Charter Oak - Leah Andrianos, sophomore, women's cross country

27. South - Lauren Lamberti, sophomore, volleyball
28. Towers - Julius Williams, senior, football
