By Kevin Vellturo, Associate Sports Editor
The ones to attend:
Field hockey
vs. Georgetown
Friday 7 p.m.
The Huskies stand at 10-0, which is the best start the team has had since 2004. They look to continue the streak when they welcome the Hoyas Friday night. Georgetown is not typically competitive in the Big East, so all signs point to an 11-0 start.
Men's soccer
vs. Georgetown
Saturday 7 p.m.
After a slow start, the Huskies went 2-0 last weekend against two Big East opponents, including perennial powerhouse St. John's. Alan Ponce and Kwame Watson-Siriboe have emerged on a team that is full of new faces.
Women's soccer
vs. Georgetown
Sunday 1 p.m.
For the second weekend in a row the Huskies are home on Sunday afternoon. Last weekend they beat Syracuse 5-0 to push them to seven wins in their last eight games. The Huskies are still achieving, and if they continue it could land them back in the NCAA tournament.
The one to follow up on:
Women's hockey
at New Hampshire
Saturday 2 p.m.
If there is one team that has proven itself over the past four years, it's New Hampshire. The Wildcats have dominated the Hockey East and beat the Huskies in the final two games of the season last year.
