College Football

No. 3 USC at No. 8 Ohio State, Saturday 8 p.m., ESPN

As week two of college football unfolds, the USC-Ohio State game is this weekend's only matchup between two ranked teams.

USC cruised last week in a 56-3 win over San Jose State while Ohio State narrowly escaped Navy in a 31-27 win. For either team, this game will prove to be a statement win. When these two teams met last year, the Trojans put on an old-fashioned beat down with a 35-3 win over the Buckeyes.

NFL

Buffalo at New England, Monday 7 p.m. ESPN

Football season is finally here and there's no better way to start off Monday Night Football than with an AFC North matchup between the Bills and the Patriots.

Tom Brady says his knee is fine and that he can't wait to start the regular season, Terrell Owens says the Bills new no-huddle offense is tiring him out but it's getting him in shape and ready for the season.

The question is, is Bill Belichick truthful in saying the Richard Seymore trade isn't on his mind?

In the least, it will be good to see Brady back on the field and Owens in the AFC.

Tennis, U.S. Open

Men's singles semifinals, finals, Saturday, Sunday, ESPN2

It's almost down to the final four. Roger Federer will take on Novak Djokovic in one semifinal match, while Juan Martin del Potro will take on Rafael Nadal in the other. Federer has won 39 consecutive matches at the American grand slam tournament and is trying to become the first man since Bill Tilden in the 1920s to win six titles in a row. Federer also holds an 8-4 head-to-head advantage over Djokovic.
