Martin Bedard, 25, of Deux Montagnex, Quebec was arrested at 9:05 p.m. last Wednesday, charged with procuring alcohol for a minor.

Police observed Bedard and two other people in the parking lot of Ted's Spirit Shop, reports said. Bedard went into Ted's, came out, and went to the side of the store with the two individuals.

After a brief investigation officers determined Bedard had bought alcohol for a minor. Bedard was given an April 28 court date and released on $1,000 bond, reports said.

Bedard, a senior, played in all 12 games for UConn last season, picking up 156 receiving yards in his most successful season as a Husky.

Prior to last year Bedard had just three catches for 42 yards in his career.

Bedard is expected to graduate in May with a degree in French.
