Point guard Antonio Kellogg was arrested Saturday night after being found in Hale Hall.

Suspended Huskies point guard Antonio Kellogg was arrested Saturday night for the second time in less than two weeks.

Kellogg was charged with criminal attempt to assault a peace officer, 1st-degree criminal trespass and interfering with an officer. According to UConn Police, Kellogg was observed inside Hale Hall after being banned from the residence hall by the Department of Residential Life (ResLife). According to an arrest report, Kellogg became combative, uncooperative and resisted when officers attempted to take him into custody.

According to UConn Police Maj. Ronald Blicher, Kellogg swung at an officer with a clenched fist, but did not connect. Blicher said no officers were injured during the incident. Kellogg has been suspended from all basketball related activities since March 14 for unspecified violations of team rules.

He was also arrested by State Police on March 27 and charged with possession of marijuana. In that incident, State Police said Kellogg and friends were standing outside a vehicle near a wooded area toward the rear of a complex on Cheney Drive. Upon investigation, the trooper detected the odor of burnt marijuana coming from them and Kellogg dropped a clear plastic bag containing marijuana in an attempt to conceal it from the trooper. Kellogg is scheduled to appear in Rockville Superior Court April 13 on the marijuana charge and has a court date of April 19 for the most recent incident.

Kellogg played in 29 games prior to his suspension, averaging 3.2 points, 2.2 assists and 2.1 rebounds per game.
