4/20 Florentin Floristeanu, 35, of Toronto, was arrested at 11:07 a.m. at the UConn Co-op and charged with sixth degree larceny. Security personnel from the Co-op detained a person suspected of shoplifting. After a brief investigation, police determined Floristeanu had stolen a book valued at over $100. He was given a May 5 court date. Bond was set at $500.

4/18 Susan Rosa, 46, of Mansfield, was arrested at 2:20 a.m. on Hanks Hill Road and charged with failure to drive right and operation while under the influence. Officers stopped Rosa for driving on the wrong side of the road and suspected that she was under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Rosa was subjected to a series of field sobriety tests, which she failed. She was given an April 27 court date. Bond was set at $500.

Jeffrey Mainville, 40, of Manchester, was arrested at 1:54 a.m. on North Eagleville Road and charged with failure to obey a stop sign and operation while under the influence. Mainville was operating a vehicle that failed to stop at a clearly posted stop sign. Officers suspected Mainville was under the influence of alcohol or drugs and subjected him to a series of field sobriety tests, which he failed. He was given an April 27 court date. Bond was set at $500.

4/16 Sara Erdos, 20, of Bridgeport, was arrested at 11:49 p.m. on North Eagleville Road and charged with failure to drive in the proper lane and operation while under the influence. Officers stopped Erdos after seeing her swerve over the white fog line. Officers suspected she was under the influence of alcohol or drugs and subjected her to a series of field sobriety tests, which she failed. Erdos was given an April 27 court date. Bond was set at $500.

Sean McKenna, 21, of Somers, was arrested at 8:51 p.m. outside Ted's Spirit Shop and charged with procuring alcohol for a minor. Officers observed McKenna exit Ted's with a 12-pack of Bud Light and a 40 ounce bottle of Bud Light beer. Police then saw McKenna put the alcohol in the backpack of another man who did not appear to be 21 years old. After a brief investigation, police determined the other man was not 21. McKenna was given an April 28 court date. Bond was set at $500.

4/15 Martin Bedard, 25, of Deux Montagnex, Quebec, was arrested at 9:05 p.m. on North Eagleville Road and charged with procuring alcohol for a minor. Officers observed Bedard and two other people in the parking lot of Ted's Spirit Shop. Bedard went into Ted's, came out, and went to the side of the store with the other people. After a brief investigation, police determined that Bedard had bought liquor for a minor. He was given an April 28 court date. Bond was set at $1,000.

4/14 Derek Faulkner, 19, of Guilford, was arrested at Belden Hall and charged with possession of less than four ounces of marijuana, three counts of possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana with intent to sell, three counts of possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell, possession of a narcotic substance, possession of a hallucinogenic substance, possession of narcotic substance with intent to sell, possession of hallucinogenic substance with intent to sell, operating a drug factory, possession of a restricted substance and possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell within 1,500 feet of a school. Police executed a search and seizure warrant after a month-long investigation into narcotics trafficking on campus. During the search, police seized 31 grams of psychedelic mushrooms, 27 grams of marijuana, a small amount of cocaine, 6 Ritalin pills, 47 Adderall pills, 10 Ativan pills, 1 Seroquel pill, packaging material and digital scales and $980 in cash. Belden Hall is located within 1,500 feet of E.O. Smith High School. Faulkner was given an April 28 court date. He was released after posting a $100,000 bond.

Michael Nguyen, 20, of West Hartford, was arrested at 9:24 p.m. on Hillside Road and charged with fourth degree criminal mischief, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a controlled substance or less than four ounces of marijuana and illegal possession near a school. Officers executed a search and seizure warrant at Mansfield Apartments. After a brief investigation, Nguyen was found to be in possession of a scale, packaging material and 1.2 grams of marijuana. Mansfield Apartments are located within 1,500 feet of E.O. Smith High School. Nguyen had also tampered with the fire alarm system in his room. He was given an April 28 court date. Bond was set at $5,000.

Kamil Kolakowski, 20, of New Britain, was arrested at 12:46 a.m. on North Hillside Road and charged with two count of second degree criminal mischief, interfering with an officer, assault on an officer and second degree breach of peace. Officers responded to a report of a male laying in traffic and banging on car windows in the area of Charter Oak Apartments. Police found Kolakowski walking down the middle of North Hillside Road and ordered him to leave the roadway and walk on the sidewalk. Kolakowski disobeyed the order and ran at the police vehicle, jumping up onto the roof of the car. When a police officer ordered Kolakowski to get off the car, he kicked the officer in the face as he jumped down. Kolakowski caused damage to the police vehicle while he was jumping on the roof. While being transported to police headquarters, Kolakowski kicked out a window of the police car. It is estimated that he caused $2,716 total in damage to two different police cars. He given an April 14 court date and held on a $100,000 bond.
