For several semesters, Casapulla has made it emminently clear that he loves the Iraq war. Yet I do not see his byline listed as Baghdad.

I am sure that Casapulla's priorities, ala Cheney, are just more important than actually fighting in the war he loves so much.

Yet, since Casapulla loves the war, but will not fight in the war, the only explanations are that he is either a hypocrite or a coward. I have to rule out hypocracy or else I would have to ignore all that he has written. So, cowardice it is. And since Casapulla does not recognize his cowardice, it must be pointed out to him, so that he can rectify his character flaw.

Eras come and go, Casapulla, and I am sure that your cowardice, in the face of your ernestly stated principles, is just another asterisk in contemporary cultural history.

get over your cowardice comment

how many times have you tried to argue this? yes, he supports the war, no he is not fighting in said war, no that is not contradictory nor a problem. are you active in everything you support? i hope you support many of america's professions outside of the military - police, teachers, firemen, doctors, nurses, pharmacists...are you active in all of these professions? yeah, didn't think so. tell me which one you don't support. or call yourself a hypocrite, or a coward.

saying (essentially) that to support the war you must join the war is such a ridiculously asinine and illogical belief that i am astounded you have the balls to even say (type) such idiocy publicly. i guess that rules out the cowardice option huh?

It sounds like the same rightest retoric. Democrats can be strong Defense and maintain and anti-Iraq War position. That being said both parties remaiin divided among the war in general.

Answer me this: Its been over 5 years, wheres Bin Laden? And what connections are linked between Islamic fundamentalists and Hussein? The answer is the Pentagon doesn't know and doesn't care; the second answer is none, but that being said how can we remove troops without endangering our soldiers, which is more important than "so called democracy" that reminds us the state of Russia who appears to have returned to it's Communist roots.

Give the Dems a break, It's the Pentagon who has sold our troops out.

Stop saying democrats root against America, it is the most ridiculous statement people use because it makes no sense. Just because democrats think the opposite of what republicans think doesn't mean that they hate America. Absolutely stupid.

Hey Rob,
I hope you're not a journalism major, or for that matter, a history major. First, Bin Laden isn't Iraq. I'm not even going to start with this. If you don't get the difference between Iraq and Bin Laden you need to stop writing for this newspaper and study. Second, your rhetoric is so ideologically black and white that you completely invalitate yourself. I don't care if your a Republican and support the war, but don't waste your readers time with hollow arguements.

Rob: I agree with the comments above but not yours; get your facts straight before shooting from the hip or is it the lip. Why insist on making this a 'right vs. the left' issue. Remember: Together we stand, divided we fall. Wise words.
Your statement: "both United States and international intelligence showed that Saddam Hussein was amassing weapons of mass destruction". Did not that prove to be a falacy? So why show your ignorance.
All of us, no matter what side of the aisle (or the middle of the aisle) need to 'stand together' and work this Iraq issue out. The US is supplying fodder to those trying to destroy the US what with all our internal finger pointing. They are using our internal disagreements with the intent of turning our world into theirs and we are helping.
So, Rob, start looking at the issues from both the right and the left rather than keep pitting folks against each other under the guise of politics. Don't keep making problems, help find solutions.

Rob: I disagree with all of your comments. You need to get your facts straight as suggested by other comments before shooting from the hip or is it the lip.
As for "both United States and international intelligence showed that Saddam Hussein was amassing weapons of mass destruction"; that was proved a falacy so why show your ignorance at this time.
Why keep pushing this as 'right vs left' issue. Remember: "United we stand, divided we fall". We must take politics out of Iraq issue and have the right, left, and middle begin working together. By fighting each other we are helping those trying to make their way of living and believing turned into ours.
Start now; identify solutions rather than just identifying what you perceive as problems. Again, remove the politics and stand together as a country.
