'Black Friday' lures some students in, scares others away

Abstract:
On any other normal Friday morning, most UConn students begin waking up to a hangover after 9 a.m. and a long night of drinking and dreading the couple classes that separate them from the rest of the weekend. Most students are in fact, not waking up with a hang over on Friday. Where you get off with an assumption like that in a publication? The University of Connecticut has done a magnificent job in the recent years moderning the campus, attracting better and brighter students, and building an outstanding public image surrounding academics.

Those efforts are undermined by idiotic comments like, "any other normal Friday, most UConn students begin waking up to a hangover after 9 AM." The comments are borderline slanderous by declaring to the world that most, or the majority of students on a normal, implying regular or repeated basis cannot act responsibly and are in fact frequent and repeated drunks. It is an opinion article, you should learn to speak for yourself.

your right, we aren't all drunks. However, if I were to guess the day of the week that most students would wake up with a hangover, I would guess friday. Weekends you can sleep in so you sleep it off, but after going out thursday you have to wake up friday morning for class. Thursday is nickel night at the bars, so not only are people drinking a lot, they are drinking low quality stuff that gives you headaches.
