Don't be fooled by lying politicians' half-truths

Abstract:
In a representative government, the purpose of politicians is to represent the people. We elect politicians to office because we feel that they are the best people to represent our political beliefs. But the question is, how are they going to represent the people when they will not tell them what they stand for? This election has demonstrated the extent to which politicians will mask their true intentions for the sake of gaining a few extra votes....

And what about Barack Obama and Joe Biden? Just as McCain and Palin are phonies, so are the Democrats, and I wish the author would've tried to bring that in as well. Obama and Biden "care about the environment" but they still want to drill for oil offshore in California which WILL NOT help us in our current energy crisis. They also support nuclear power, which produces copious amounts of radioactive waste that stays around for thousands of years. How about gay marriage? Biden says he supports visitation rights for gay couples in the hospital, but not civil unions or marriage; same goes for Barack Obama. Obama and Biden claim to be candidates of change, but they voted for the bailout of the greedy, just as McCain did. Neither the elephants nor the jackasses deserve your votes this fall. Find a third party that better represents your views.

jesus, where to begin? you not only forgot to mention the other side (and don't give me crap about not enough space, just admit you're a democrat - esp when you're talking about lying politicians! oh hypocrisy!)you also forgot to mention the people DID give the palin's a hard time for their children. hell, liberals were even aghast sarah kept her baby with downs syndrome. everyone knows disabled kids are better off aborted!

and since when does mccain claim to be pro choice? he's in favor of abortion in cases of incest and rape (and for the record, a majority of americans are neither 100% against nor 100% in favor of abortion legalization - virtually everyone believes in such a grey area), AND has said that he would "give the benefit of the doubt to the person who alleges that [she was raped]."

palin is not "a heartbeat away from the presidency." no matter what scare tactics yall like to play, mccain is a strong man, and really not that old. i love these young people talking about how old mccain is - i wonder where these kids parents, uncles, and aunts are. how do they feel about being called ancient? palin is running for VICE president. why dont you focus on the lack of experience for your PRESIDENTIAL candidate? obama got through college on what he claims was student loans, yet any record that should have some evidence of those debts seem to show a marked absence (http://www.newsmax.com/timmerman/obama_harvard_/2008/09/23/133199.html)

"In response to Newsmax questions about the Obama's college loans, a campaign spokesman cited a report in The Chicago Sun claiming that Obama borrowed $42,753 to pay for Harvard Law School, and "tens of thousands" more to pay for undergraduate studies at Columbia.
The same report said that Michelle Obama borrowed $40,762 to pay for her years at Harvard Law School.
But a Newsmax review of Senator Obama's financial disclosures found no trace of any outstanding college loans, going back to 2000."

hes spent his political career campaigning for a political career. he's written more books than has signed laws into action. he's a fame whore, a caricature of a political figure. what happens when he becomes pres and reaches the top? first black president. (who cares that he's half right? he doesn't even seem to - making tiger woods more respectful of his white roots than obama is). if you can't see that obama wants to be president for the title and not to better this country, you're blind, and you're an idiot for believing in a man who does nothing but speak charismatically. he has no substance. but then again, neither do you.

I thought this debate was about them, as opposed to featuring them. Whoops.
