In the November election, experience matters

Abstract:
During the 1992 presidential campaign, President George H. W. Bush frequently told voters that they should re-elect him because his extensive experience in foreign affairs would serve America well in a changing world. For this argument, President Bush was derided as an out-of-touch elitist trying to change the subject from his lack of ideas for helping Americans through a recession....

mccain also argues for continued engagement in iraq, expanded engagement in afghanistan, cowboy posturing against iran, and unconditional support for israel. these positions cause us to be LESS SECURE. if mccain was such an expert on national security, he would've known that the iraq war would drive more recruits into the arms of bin laden, unconditional support for israel leads to anti-americanism in the middle east, cowboy posturing on iran gives mahmoud ahmadinejad credibility, and expanding the war in afghanistan will only anger our few allies in the region (most notably pakistan). don't get me wrong, obama advocates all the same positions. if either candidate wanted us to be secure, they would call for withdrawing all troops from foreign soil, except those needed in afghanistan to hunt for bin laden, and bring all the troops back to defend this country instead of wasting money on bases in germany, japan, poland, or any of the other slew of countries we have a military presence in. the only candidates calling to reign in the absurd spending on bases overseas are bob barr and ralph nader. they are the intelligent ones who will make for a more secure america, not either dumbo or the jackass.

Nader really is the best choice for this country. It's a shame that no one will give him air time and people are too blinded by -D or -R to listen to a person that really is the smartest choice.

I voted for him in '04 and will be doing to same in '08.
