I'm ashamed of this rag parading as a newspaper. There are four candidates for the seat in question. Joe Courtney (Democrat), Sean Sullivan (Republican), G. Scott Deshefy (Green), and Dan Reale (Libertarian). Why this "newspaper" refuses to give third party candidates a fair shake is beyond me, especially when Deshefy participated in the debates alongside Courtney and Sullivan. Deshefy is a former DEP biologist who wants to promote drastic military spending cuts, an end to the Iraq war, and a focus on cleaning up the environment. Reale supports cutting taxes, ending the Iraq war, and balancing the budget. Both minor candidates support the legalization of recreational marijuana and both opposed the Wall Street bailout. Why vote for Courtney or Sullivan when you can have someone outside of the two party machine who actually wants to make a difference?
