REVIEW: Beyoncé suffers from identity crisis on new album

Abstract:
If you've been near a radio in the past month, you probably have heard both of Beyoncé's new, split-personality singles. The first, "If I Were A Boy," is a slowed-down contemplation on how life would be if she had the chance to see through the eyes of a man....

I love Beyonce & have all of her albums and DVD's but this album was a real let down. I literally wanted to take it back to the store & ask for my money back. She completely missed the mark with this one. You can't even really dance to any of the "sasha fierce" songs except for single ladies. Buy it while it's on sale & maybe you won't feel so let down when you hear it

What the hell, two stars. I agree this album down plays Beyonce's true talent vs B'Day but hell B'day couldn't get enough airplay because it was too agresso-RB soul and so now she put out an album like Fergie and Rihanna and she gets 1/2 credit. When we all know good and damn well, she sounds 10 times better doing then Fergie and Rihanna.

Stop writing music reviews when you don't understand what music is about

I agree with them on the album. I love Beyonce but I was very dissapointed with this album. She tried to go too European. She tried to use a alter ego to hide behind versus saying she feels the way she does AND Diva does sound like she stole that straight from Lil Wayne and some songs are like Rihanna. I will always be a fan but I am not happy with this album and may take it back.

I'm very disappointed in this album. There are only 2 good songs, maybe three. She has such a beautiful voice and it barely shows.

Part of being a creative person is trying out things that do not work. People who are not successful yet cannot do this, but Beyonce can afford to do this.

I love Beyonce but i will admit her first album was the best I am Sasha Fierce i was a little disappointed but only with the sasha fierce side i love the slow I am.. songs and my favorite is HALO, AVE MARIA, SMASH INTO YOU, IF I WAS A BOY and DISAPPEAR and if it wasnt for the sasha fierce side i would definatly rate this her best album.

I love beyonce and I think she is a truly talented artist. Her first album "Dangerously in Love" was a wonderful ablbum and would have been hard to top. Her second album was disappointing to me i expected so much more from her, it seemed like she rushed to put it out and didn't put much thought into it however, there are a few songs I do love from the second album. This last album I am... Sasha fierce is pure garbage. I feel like she is trying to be someone she is not. On the first CD Its just slow and wack, you cant even slow dance to the music it damn near put me to sleep. The second CD she was tripping for sure. Trying to rap and then with the southern accents on one of the songs, it's just hard to believe I would tell anyone not to waste their money on this album. She was trying to be different but different aint always better! She needs to get back with Timberland for some beats and Ne-yo for song writing. I love you Beyonce but you are about to loose a fan.

I am a true Beyonce fan and have to admit - I was disappointed of her new CD. I think she should of took more time off and went a different way with the new CD. Sasha Fiece was a perfect name but unfortunately - the songs doesn't live up to such a great name :-(

I love Beyonce, however, this album sucks. I can hardly stand to listen to the slow side. There is one song on this album that I truly love, I think the song is called video phone, the other songs suck. Sorry B
