New Conn. Drinking Law a Buzzkill

Abstract:
Monday, more than 100 new state laws took effect in Connecticut. Amongst the most discussed of these recent pieces of legislation is the state's new law against serving alcohol to minors on one's own private property. According to the Stamford Advocate, "Anyone who knowingly allows a minor to consume alcohol on his or her property - or does not make 'reasonable efforts' to stop them from drinking - will be in violation of the law....

What part of "must be 21 to drink" do you not get??

This new law is in line with the 21 year old drinking age. It's the law. If you don't understand it, re-read the law. If you don't like the law, then work within the bounds of the legislative process to change it. Until then, obey it. Sorry if this kills your buzz.

Absolutely correct. Kids have always been drinking underage and will continue to drink underage. The best we can do is to supervise and take control. Their going to do it wether we like it or not.
