BCS Needs An Overhaul

Abstract:
Bowl season will be upon us in a couple of weeks, and as you sit home munching on your Christmas treats you will get to watch marquee match-ups like Florida Atlantic vs. Memphis and Nevada vs. New Mexico take on each other in glorified exhibition match-ups that mean nothing....

The Rose Bowl could not have picked Georgia. Please at least have some knowledge of the BCS rules before you write an article bashing them. Georgia was locked into the Sugar Bowl.

The only teams that can complain about getting left out of the BCS bowls because of Illinois are Boston College, and Arizona State. Pac-10 - Pac-10 matchup was out of the question in the Rose Bowl, so essentially, the Rose Bowl committee chose Illinois over Boston College, a move which I think most would agree with.

UGA wasn't locked into the Sugar Bowl. Only the SEC champion is an automatic pick. LSU won the Conferance, but was picked for the Bowl Championship game leaving the Sugar open to whom ever it wanted to ask. And has been said before, UGA did not win the SEC.
