Ron Paul A Sensible Choice For President

Abstract:
Well, I'm hoping most of you got the chance to read a few of my columns over the course of the last year. If you have, you'll know I'm vehemently against the war and very much in favor of civil liberties. With that in mind, it will probably come as a shock to hear I think a Republican congressman from Texas has the best platform I've heard so far from any 2008 presidential hopeful from either party....

All good points. But how do we get Ron Paul nominated? Well, there is some exciting news... The rumor mill has it that Ron Paul has had a surge in contributions - millions of dollars. We will see after June when the FEC campaign contribution filings are published. As of first quarter 2007, Romney had 23 million, Giuliani had 16 million, McCain had 13 million, and Ron Paul only 640 thousand. If Ron Paul raises 30 million by the June FEC reporting date, there will be a lot of free TV airtime for him and more legitimacy with the mass media - very important. There is a big push for people to send in $5 (youtube 'ron paul 5 bucks' for example). If we all 'spam' Ron Paul with campain contributions, it will add up. Each individual can send up to $2,300. I would suggest sending in at least $20 if you can at https://www.ronpaul2008.com/donate/ . Send more if you can. (Get some bumper stickers too!) Yep, it is sad that this is how a candidate gets their legitimacy with the mass media.
Ron Paul for President 2008!

I am a big Ron Paul fan and learned a new technique today to reach a lot of people. Talk. I know this will sound nuts, but while at the bank today I asked the teller if she had heard of Ron Paul. She hadn't. I started talking and referring her to the web. Then I did it at the grocery store, hardware store, and while talking to a customer service agent on the phone. I told them how he is against the income tax, against the Iraq war, and against big business and he is so feared that the mainstream media won't even let you hear about him. They were all fascinated. I went out again to get a few more things and told 6 more people. That is 10 people I told today. I printed up bumper stickers, pasted them to magnetic paper with clear contact paper and they are going on my car.
We can do it. If one person can hit ten people in one day who had never heard about him, well, do the math people.
The best opening line is "have you heard about Ron Paul?" It is non-threatening and makes it easy to talk about. Tell the guy at the fast food counter, the pizza delivery guy, your plumber, UPS man, everyone. See how many you can hit in one day.

I started it with ten.
Your turn.

Jennifer you are so right, I do that too and find that people have never heard of him. Let's pass your idea on to all Ron Paul supporters in any way we can.

He does have a chance. But it will be a very grassroots effort, which means we will all have to play a part it that. The biggest challenge is getting his message out. Once people know what he stands for, there are many who want to support him.

I agree with you guys. RP's campaign is pretty much word of mouth and internet phenomena. The majority of people who spend their days surfing the internet have discovered him, and really like the fresh perspective and his seemingly uncorrupted political history. Keep up the good work and get people interested in politics again, and hopefully we wont end up with some plastic puppet for the next 4 years. I hate to bring it up, but Ive gotten a lot of my liberal friends who enjoy partaking in MJ every now and then by conveying his stance on the war on drugs as well.

I'm so glad you've found Ron! We love him in NH. He had the most people at his rally for the debate and after party was WILD. There were about 300-400 people there. You can see all the videos on

Here's an idea, ask people if they know what the inflation tax they pay is. If they answer no then take the time to explain how the monetary policy has been setup and how it is being used as a tool to enslave us. (If you don't know watch the movie "America: From Freedom to Fascism".) Then you can tell how there is one candidate running for president who will work to eliminate this tax as well as the unconstitutional income tax.

His pro-defence stance where the military is concerned is a good thing but it's far from the best aspects of what Ron Paul will do for our country.

He sees things in terms of what works for hundreds of years, not quick fixes to keep a fundamentally flawed system working a few more decades.

Who IS Ron Paul? They still need to know!!
NOBODY explains Ron Paul
BETTER than Ron Paul himself!

Here is an interactive audio archive of
Ron Paul speeches and interviews as a resource in chronological
order.

Ron Paul, regarding the motives behind the 911 attack, pointed out to Giuliani that in 1953, dubbed operation Ajax, the United States and British Petroleum, orchestrated the covert overthrow of Iran's popular and overwhelmingly elected Prime Minister Mohammed Mosedec and installed the Shah. An intervention the people of Iran still resent to this day(blowback). That was the mistake of a long gone administration. We don't do that stuff anymore.

UNDERSTANDING WHAT RON PAUL STANDS FOR IS GREAT. BUT, ALSO BE SURE TO UNDERSTAND WHO HE STANDS AGAINST. NAMELY: NEOCONS.

DO SOME RESEARCH BY READING ABOUT NEOCONS AT WIKIPEDIA AND ELSEWHERE.
There is no 2 party system anymore.

Thanks for the article! For me it's basically Ron Paul or no one in 2008. The difference between the Neo-Con Republicans and mainstream Democrats is so tiny as to not matter any more. They're all pro-globalism, pro-open borders, pro-empiralism, pro-centralization of power, etc, and all that cost of our individual liberties; the very cornerstone of American political philosophy (i.e. Pluralism). In the last few decades we've been weened on the virtues of Big Government, but by now even the most fanciful liberals are beginning to understand that bigger government means less freedom...unless you like the idea of gulags, secret police and the suspension of habeas corpus, which tradionally we've considered the manifestations of totalitarianism. We desperately need Ron Paul to be the next president. Thanks.

The best way to understand Ron Paul's views on a non-interventionist foreign policy is to read his book "A Foreign Policy of Freedom" recently made available through Amazon. Don't listen to the network spin masters, evaluate Ron Paul's positions for yourself.

Go Ron Paul!

Ron Paul rocks. I just donated to his campaign. It's time for every American to stand up and be counted.

Paul 2008

He is the only candidate that has an opportunity to build a coalition of D's and R's. Anyone else and it's back to electrifying a staggeringly ignorant base and dragging indifferent voters to the polls in 'grt out the vote' efforts.

Go Ron Go
