Ash dump poses major problems for local area

Abstract:
In Connecticut, much of the household garbage that is produced ends up in incinerators, but where do the incinerators send their garbage? If the Connecticut Resources Recovery Authority has anything to say about it - which they do - the toxic ash from trash incinerators could end up in Franklin....

i just learned that even if the ash dump is refused in Franklin, Ct. there already is a big and growing ash dump in Putnam, Ct. that is being welcomed by Putnam's mayor because of the income Putnam receives from it. I believe it's at the Northwest corner of Putnam, bordering on Woodstock and may very well wreaking havac on the environment and health in those towns and areas around them. We need to think about our this and explore the materials we are using, throwing away, and poisoning our water, land and air with.
