Just Wonderings: Cap And Gown Edition

So, you're finally graduating.

Did you "finish in four"?

Or are you a super senior?

Are you sad to be leaving?

Or did you think this day would never come?

Are you excited to wear your cap and gown?

Did you pay for it yourself?

Doesn't that suck?

Doesn't it kind-of look like a trash bag?

Who wants to pay for a person-sized trash bag?

What color is your tassel?

Did you know the agriculture school color is maize?

What, do they put corn on their caps?

Do they grow the corn themselves?

Do they get to graduate if their corn looks bad?

Doesn't bad-looking corn reflect poorly on the

department?

Was the person who picked that color just being cute?

And how about the business majors, isn't their color drab?

Is that supposed to be a reflection on their future?

You know, a little cruel foreshadowing?

Shouldn't it be green, like money?

That person was probably trying to be cute, too.

Or did the same person get to pick all the colors?

How do you get that job?

Do you have a job?

Do you want a job?

Are you going to live off your parents for a while?

Have you told them that yet?

No? Sounds like it is time to have a sit down with them.

Are you naked under those robes?

Isn't it a freeing experience?

Hope there isn't a breeze in Gampel.

Hope you don't stick to the seat either.

Are you excited to listen to the speaker?

Do you even know who she is?

Isn't she from England?

Do you think they put corn on their caps over there?

Are you getting nostalgic about your time here?

Are you feeling teary-eyed at all?

You look a little teary-eyed.

Oh, it's just allergies? Our bad.

Did you study for finals?

Or did you wing it?

Did you load up on cupcake classes?

Did you go to class tipsy?

Do you think you fooled the professor?

No, we don't think so either.

Take a look around right now.

Take it all in.

Tomorrow, you're no longer welcome here.

They have to make room for the new kids.

Now, go get your degree. You earned it.

Congratulations, class of 2007. Good luck.
