After going undrafted and missing out on an invite to NFL training camp, former UConn wide receiver/return specialist Larry Taylor has signed a contract with the Montreal Alouetes of the Canadian Football League.
Taylor concluded his career at UConn as the Big East's all-time leader in punt return yardage. He surpassed former Miami (Fla.) receiver/returner Santana Moss for the top spot on a 74-yard touchdown return versus Wake Forest in the Meineke Car Care Bowl.
Taylor is now one of six former Huskies in the CFL. Two players, Shawne Mayne and O'Neil Wilson, are teammates with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers.
Former UConn tailback Terry Caulley is also a current player in the CFL. Caulley gained 590 all-purpose yards and started three games for the Hamilton Tiger-Cats last season. He signed with Hamilton following a brief stint in training camp with the Washington Redskins.
