Game of the Week - Boston Red Sox 7, L.A. Angels of Anaheim 5, ALDS Game 2, (Friday): Boston went up 5-1 early only to have the Angels claw back to tie the game at five. How do the Red Sox respond? With J.D. Drew's home run, which proved to be the game winner, and against one of the best closers in baseball. Every pitch in this game packed the best of what playoff baseball is all about.

Key Performance - Todd Reesing, QB, Kansas (Saturday): No. 16 Kansas trailed Iowa State 20-0 at halftime, but stormed back in the second half for the victory. Much of the credit goes to Reesing, who had three touchdowns and threw for 319 yards in the victory.

Big Letdown - Chicago Cubs swept by L.A. Dodgers in NLDS: The team with the best record in the National League and the best chance of any Cubs team in recent history to make it back to the World Series couldn't do any damage whatsoever against the Dodgers in the NLDS. The Cubs were a popular pick to break a 100-year World Series curse. It took three games for that to come crashing down.

Wish we were there - No. 19 Vanderbilt 14, No. 13 Auburn 13 (Saturday): The Commodores proved they are for real this year with a hard-fought 14-13 victory over Auburn in ESPN College Gameday's first visit to Vanderbilt Stadium. The win gave Vanderbilt its first 5-0 start since 1943 and bumped them up to No. 13 in this week's AP Top-25.

Number of the Week: 2 - The number of innings the Chicago Cubs, the team with the best record in the National League, held any lead during their NLDS sweep at the hands of the Dodgers.
