5 UConn students sentenced for drugs

The ten students arrested last May have received sentences ranging from accelerated rehabilitation to 5 years in jail.

Five UConn students who were arrested last May on drug charges have received jail sentences in a case that involved 10 student arrests in the same day. According to Police Maj. Ronald Blicher, all 10 cases are being heard separately and some students have not yet been sentenced.

One late night at the library, Richard de Brito was talking with someone at the exit booth. He had been jumpy since seeing the movie "Alien" earlier in the week. As he turned from his conversation, to check a student's bag, two green eerie heads that were sticking out of a girl's old canvas bag startled him.

Lubna Khalid, founder and CEO of Real Cosmetics, discussed her inspiration for creating a diverse cosmetic line and the difficulties she faced because of this diversity at a lecture at the Asian-American Cultural Center on Tuesday night.
