Spring Break
As the festive season approaches, one might, in joyful wonder, look around at all the Christmas decorations one inevitably encounters in December. These warm ideas of holiday tradition invite Christians to be merry and celebrate the birth of their savior. But oddly enough, most of the traditions that are practiced today have little to do with the true origin of Christmas.
To all of you who are reading this article, we would like to applaud you-no, not for contributing to the loyal Daily Campus following, but for your decision to attend UConn. We all know that this choice was preceded by the painful procedure of college searching with the folks, spending countless hours in the writing lab perfecting that application essay and getting the privilege of knowing the inside of your guidance counselor's office better than your own bedroom.
Here is the definitive guide to being a patriot under the racist and corrupt; those who send men to their death for profit and let that same personal profit govern choices involving American freedom. Don't ever question your government. Blind obedience is the first key to American victory.
Just like years past, students will continue to have the option of selecting a quiet floor when making their housing choice. For several years now, the Department of Residential Life has offered this alternative "lifestyle choice." ResLife is correct to offer students a variety of special interest housing choices.
Are you ready for finals? Did you know finals are next week? Do you think you'll survive finals? Are you going to Midnight Breakfast? Did you know Midnight Breakfast starts before midnight? Have you started to study for your exams? Have you opened a book all semester? Did you know the reading days are Saturday and Sunday? Do you have any exams at 8 in the morning? Aren't those the best finals ever? Do you have any exams in the 6 p.
Mr. Graboski, I see the liberals are still out to single handedly ruin your life with their informed assertions and their rightful indignation on the practices of our government; and I know the right wing never makes wild accusations or loudly presents half-truths in the place of reality.
There is an insert that runs each year in The Daily Campus and you no doubt have seen these colorful flyers scattered around campus or in your classrooms: "SEMESTER BREAK WORK! Earn $17.25-$17.50 Base/Appt." The flier is not clear as to what kind of work exactly you'd be doing and whatever "Base/Appt" is, it sounds like a lot of money.
