Concerns raised over construction

Rell forms commission to investigate if UConn broke laws

Gov. M. Jodi Rell announced Tuesday she had formed a commission to investigate whether UConn broke any laws during the contracting and construction of on-campus buildings. The UConn Board of Trustees approved measures the same day to address many concerns regarding construction.

HEART House supporters petition against move

The HEART program, a nationally recognized substance abuse program at UConn, directly serves over 7,000 students during an academic year, which includes about 100 student internships per semester. However, it soon may be forced to move against its will. According to Dr.

Student Union exceeding budget

The latest overrun total related to the building project of the new Student Union is 39.5 percent over the original $45 million budget. Even with a cost currently standing at $62.8 million, it is uncertain when the second phase of the project will be finished.

In an effort to increase safety during this year's Spring Weekend, the Undergraduate Student Government (USG) is working to distribute wristbands to UConn students and their registered guests. The wristbands are to be worn throughout the duration of the weekend.

The UConn Bike Plan Support Ride is being held on Thursday starting at 11 a.m. to promote UConn's need for a better bicycle network. The ride, sponsored by the UConn Institute of Transportation and Engineers (ITE) and the Office of Environmental Policy (OEP), will begin in the Polo Arena Parking Lot on Horsebarn Hill.
