Andrew McMahon, the piano-pounding front man of the pop-punk band Something Corporate, was thinking of a few things when he first formulated the idea for his solo project, Jack's Mannequin. Released Aug. 23, "Everything in Transit" is a concept album that contains a main plot as well as an underlying storyline.
While admiring the rain drizzling out the window, it is hard to believe it is actually nice to be back in Storrs. The William Benton Museum of Art is starting the year strong featuring the professional photography of Adam Nadel. The exhibit, entitled "If My Eyes Speak", centers around the devastating effect that genocide and terrorism has on the general population. "This exhibit focuses on the survivors of the violence," said museum director Salvatore Scalora.
