Climate changes are real and accelerating at an alarming pace - as evidenced by melting glaciers worldwide, glacier experts say. Scientists have long warned society about global warming and the effects it may have on the world.
Most Americans are "none too happy" with the way their internet privacy is being treated by the government and some major search engines, according to UConn Center for Survey Research and Analysis Director Dr. Samuel Best and the center's new national poll.
According to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the percentage of young people under the age of 25 infected with HIV has increased from 3.9 percent in 1999 to 4.7 percent in 2003. People this young are estimated to make up one-half of the 40,000 new HIV infections reported each year in the United States.
