The daylong celebration of Native American Culture featured in the exhibit at Homer Babbidge Library seeks to communicate that ancient traditions are very much alive today, according to the library's marketing and communications specialist Suzanne Zack. According to Zack, inspiration for the Native American exhibit, titled "Enduring Spirit," came from library colleague Bob Fall, the material storage supervisor.
With the current oil crisis in effect, US citizens have found themselves looking for ways to cut down on their gasoline usage. For the many college students that choose to have their car on campus, the majority of which are upper-classmen, the trend in gas prices is not as major a concern as it is for commuters. (0) comments
When UConn students return to Storrs this fall, it won't take long to realize that more than their class standing has changed over the summer. That's because while students are enjoying their summer off from college life, crews remain hard at work on many improvements to the Storrs campus, including the Student Union, athletic complexes and residential areas.
