Never Forget

"We Remember," a small gathering of UConn students and administration said in unison as they stood with lit candles, quietly and peacefully remembering that infamous day five years ago, Sept. 11, 2001. An idea spawned and perpetuated by the UConn College Republicans President Robert Casapulla, the remembrance ceremony became a community effort by a diverse group of UConn organizations. 'Figures' Speak Louder Than Words

The Contemporary Art Gallery, located in the lobby of the Fine Arts building, recently opened its fall exhibition, "Figuring the Landscape," which features painters from around the world. Cultural Centers Open Their Doors

They say that you don't really know a man until you walk a mile in his shoes, but the same can be said of the different cultural centers on campus, in a way. Students who attended last night's WRAAP (UConn's five cultural centers) Open House came to know the different cultural centers on campus by moving from center to center, sampling food and conversation at each.
