Environmental Movie Shown To Full Theater

Friday evening found the Student Union Theater packed with students waiting to see former Vice President Al Gore's "An Inconvenient Truth." The free showing of this environmental documentary was co-sponsored by the EcoHusky student group, the Uconn Office of Environmental Policy (OEP) and the Student Union Board of Governors (SUBOG). New Conduct Hotline Established

Callers Can Report Code Of Compliance, Ethics Violations

A 24-hour code of conduct compliance report line was recently launched, providing a source to anonymously report code of compliance and ethics violations at the Storrs and regional campuses. The Office of Audit, Compliance and Ethics, with the help of an outside company with university hotline experience, started the hotline to give anyone involved with the university an opportunity to get guidance on fraud, misconduct and policy violations mapped out in the UConn Code of Conduct, said Rachel Rubin, director of compliance for Storrs and regional campuses. The Osher Foundation of San Francisco recently awarded the UConn Waterbury campus with a $100,000 grant that will fund a lifetime learning program. "Lifelong learning is about a broad range of activity," said Brian Chapman, who has been appointed to head the program. (1) comment

Students and Faculty gathered at the North Reading Room in Wilbur Cross Friday to celebrate the birth of the Academic Partnership Program for Emerging Fields.
