Many universities around the United States are in the process of remodeling their teaching system to create terrific Teacher's Aides (TAs) rather than terrified assistants. In fact, big-name universities such as Washington, Colorado and Michigan, "Have built up significant centers staffed with experts to train and mentor teaching assistants," according to a report by the Associated Press. Formerly known as Late Night, Husky Howl is a work in progress as it adjusts from once every other week to twice every week. There have been 14 Husky Howl nights at the Student Union so far this semester. This number already almost equals the total number of Late Nights hosted in both semesters last year. (0) comments
As of Oct. 1, a new program has come into effect for the benefit of all UConn staff and employees. The Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is designed with the intention of helping employees. It is targeted at helping university professors in dealing with personal issues that could possibly contribute to the decline of their teaching. (0) comments
