Eduardo Urios-Aparisi, a professor of Modern and Classical Language, spoke to the crowd and read excerpts from his bilingual book of poetry, "Las hormigas de oro" ­- translated means "Ants of Gold. Dr. Gail Dines, a sociology and women's studies professor at Wheelock College in Boston, came to the Student Union Theater Wednesday to protest the pornography industry against negative mental and physical impact on both men and women. With soft-core pornographic images of perfectly-shaped women dominating the media and hardcore Internet pornography setting the screaming "standard" for good sex, Dines said the now pornographic society is disturbingly affecting the self-image of both men and women and their relationships. Adam Sandler´s newest offering, "Click," is now out on DVD. If you weren´t part of the film´s $137 million gross, you´ll probably be seeing it soon enough. It is the third Adam Sandler film directed by Frank Coraci ("The Wedding Singer," "The Waterboy"). (0) comments

The debut EP "Close to Me" by The Comfies, is now out in stores. Their name may be a little disconcerting, but it's absolutely the kind of name, and music, that grows on you and describes their style. The Comfies features four unique musicians, who should be able to find their audience in given time. (0) comments
