The Dropkick Murphys and Big D and the Kids Table became part of a long-standing UConn tradition of rioting and causing a ruckus Saturday night. Blidge who stole the show on Sunday which aired on CBS at 8 p.m., pouring her soul out and singing her heart out "Can't Live Without You," and "Let's Stay Together." Prior to the show, E! Despite the frigid weather, hundreds of students turned out for the 25th annual One-Ton Sundae Friday morning. The event, which occurred as part of the Student Union Board of Governor's Winter Weekend Celebration, featured 75 three-gallon tubs of UConn Dairy Bar ice cream piled more than five feet high on the patio outside the Student Union. The V-Day Campaign returned to UConn with the annual showing of "The Vagina Monologues" this weekend. The show, which featured monologues that each deal with a different aspect of feminine sexuality, was performed by UConn students and sponsored by the Women's Center. (0) comments
While the Fox television reality show "American Idol" continues into its latest season Sunday, UConn conducted its very own star search in Student Union. Unfortunately, if you wanted in, you had to have registered by the previous Friday, Feb. 9. Everyone who attended wanted to be the answer to the question: "Who is the next UConn Idol?" The event was conducted by the Student Union Board of Governors and hosted by SUBOG member Adonis Chamble, a 6th-semester communications major as well as the chairperson of fine and performing arts for SUBOG.
