Yet in a public hearing last week, Connecticut State University Chancellor David Carter expressed his support for a bill that would allow undocumented illegal immigrants to pay in-state tuition at any of the state's public colleges and universities. The American government ought to be ashamed. To date, it has cost taxpayers over $368 billion to finance Operation Iraqi Freedom. That's a whole lot of money, especially when you consider that nearly 3.5 million people in the United States don't have a roof over their heads or a bed to sleep in. (5) comments

This summer, I visited my birth country of Nepal. Though Nepal is, in my opinion, one of the most beautiful countries in the world, it is also one the poorest. Like many Third World countries there is an extreme gap between the rich and the poor. Being rich in Nepal is equivalent to being part of the upper-class in America. (0) comments
