The state legislature is in the midst of wrapping up its five month session in the coming days, and while many laws have passed and programs tweaked, the body has managed to play politics with one measure which if passed, could provide actual relief to countless residents across the state. It's the summertime and no one is in Storrs, save for the few geeks taking summer classes, trying to get ahead. That means no one is going to read what I am right now composing. So I'm going to try something new. I'm going to write a running diary of the New Hampshire Republican Debate (aired last Tuesday), and if it sucks only my mother will have to read it. (1) comment
Well, I'm hoping most of you got the chance to read a few of my columns over the course of the last year. If you have, you'll know I'm vehemently against the war and very much in favor of civil liberties. With that in mind, it will probably come as a shock to hear I think a Republican congressman from Texas has the best platform I've heard so far from any 2008 presidential hopeful from either party.
