A Mansfield man was found dead in the woods next to his home Saturday, according to a State Police report. Public school students need many resources to receive the best quality education: clean, safe schools, updated classroom materials, but perhaps most importantly, students need caring, well-educated teachers to serve as positive role models. Educators say they're concerned those role models may be in short supply as fewer men choose to become teachers. (2) comments
The only athletic facilities in the nation that are energy efficient enough to earn "silver" status by Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) are at UConn. The Burton Family Football Complex and the Mark R. Shenkman Training Center are 35 percent more energy efficient than a standard, up-to-code building, Richard Miller, director of environmental policy at UConn said. (0) comments
The Arjona Building was built in 1959 and while it was impressive at that time, it has since decayed to the point where the building will be torn down and buildings to replace them have been planned for completion by 2011.
