Vassar Electrifies Jorgensen

As Phil Vassar ended his set, he sang out the chorus, "Do you like it? How about this? Wanna try it? Oh, oh, oh." And as the audience cheered louder, he smiled and finished, "I'll take that as a yes." Kappas Walk For The Cure

Sorority members raised about $3,400 for breast cancer research in just two hours Sunday in Kappa Kappa Gamma's fifth annual "Walk for the Kure." The group made just under $1,900 at the same event last year. Student participants in the event donated $5 and non-student participants donated $10 and walked five kilometers - 3. (1) comment

Fame 'Becomes' Late Night

Friday night rolled around, and the Student Union was the usual center of activity. Some may be drawn here by the promise of fun and others might just want a burrito, but students end up in the "social hub of campus" more often than not on the weekends. Whether it's a legitimate alternative to the typical UConn parties or a haven for oblivious freshmen, UConn Late Night - formerly Husky Howl - is certainly quite a spectacle. (0) comments

Sometimes, the worlds of country and pop music seem to be on two different planets. Pop culture artists wear their skinny jeans and designer tops and sing to millions of teenagers who have been preparing their outfits all day. Country artists, on the other hand, are known for going for the T-shirt and cowboy hat look and sing to millions of fans, of all ages, who have been tailgating in the arena parking lot all day.
