Initiative Promotes Alternative Energy

UConn has become a leader in alternative energy research with its eminent faculty initiative, which began in July. The initiative, passed by the state legislature, enabled the university to hire new faculty members to conduct alternative energy research. Kathleen Holgerson, the director of the Women's Center, said that the cultural stigmas attached to men often keep male victims from reporting their domestic violence cases. (2) comments
