International Night Brings Cultures Together

Thursday in Rome Ballroom an event took place unlike any other. Cultures from all over the world united in one room, fostering camaraderie among the UConn community. The 8th-annual International Night, sponsored by the Honors Council, was held to raise awareness of other cultures, bring members of various cultures together, and raise money for their I-Night Scholarship. "Pirates of Penzance" opens tonight in the E.O. Smith High School auditorium, courtesy of Dramatic P.A.W.S. "Pirates" is an intimidating play to perform. The music is tough and, without the right energy, the show can quickly turn trite. Dramatic P.A.W.S. thinks they can pull it off. (0) comments

It was a collaboration of music and photographic imagery in the Nafe Katter Theater on a chilly Thursday night where Earl MacDonald and Deborah Muirhead presented "Beneath the Black Earth."
