With Friday's guilty plea by UConn student Keith Steamer to charges of second-degree unlawful restraint and third-degree assault, as well as a new charge of violating a protective order, there is no more doubt as to the wrongful and injurious actions Steamer committed last January, for which he was accused of sexual assault. I have given a great deal of thought as to what I would write about in my final column for the academic year. I will be studying abroad in Buenos Aires, Argentina during the spring semester, and therefore will not be writing for The Daily Campus until the Fall 2008 semester. (0) comments
UConn Recycling Successful, But More Work Remains UConn recycling is moving in the right direction. Since the new blue and green recycling containers went out in Spring 2007, paper recycling rates are up significantly. Between April and September newspaper recycling more than doubled, paper recycling in the library almost tripled, and campus mixed paper recycling is up 18 percent compared to the same period in 2006.
