On Super Tuesday, Feb. 5, Connecticut and 21 other states will go a long way toward deciding which candidates will be chosen to represent their parties in the 2008 presidential election. Most of the buildings on campus were empty, and hardly any footprints crossed the fields of mud outside the library on the unseasonably warm morning of Jan. 8. The only crowd to be found was on Hillside Road, where students carrying pillows and paper coffee cups chatted as they piled into a red-and-white striped charter bus. (0) comments
The University of Connecticut is known for preserving its rural, agricultural roots. The town of Mansfield is known for preserving its history and culture. But the together, the two lack something that many feel is needed in a college environment - a college town. (2) comments
