The housing lottery results are in, but for 213 students, the gamble continues. That's the number of students who lost housing this year, but they were automatically put on a waiting list and will be have highest priority when spaces become available, according to Pamela Schipani, director of housing services. The UConn College Democrats are determined to get students to vote in the democratic primary this Tuesday. As a result, on Election Day, the Yellow Line bus will have flyers posted with directions to the Mansfield Community Center where students can vote after getting off at the Mansfield Town Hall bus stop, according to Marshall Rivers, an 8th-semester political science and geography double major and vice president of the UConn College Democrats. Penn, Politicians Rally For Obama

About 300 students, faculty and local residents rallied with local politicians for democratic presidential hopeful Barack Obama at the Student Union Friday. The guest speakers, including TV and movie star Kal Penn, Stamford Mayor and former Senate candidate Ned Lamont and Connecticut Senate Pro Tempore Donald Williams, endorsed Obama and spoke of the need for change in this coming presidential election.
