While the U.S. Basketball Writers Association feels A.J. Price is an All-American, the Associated Press apparently feels otherwise. The AP released its annual list of All-American selections Monday and the UConn point guard was not among the 15 players that comprise the three teams. (0) comments
Prior to season's start, head coach Jim Penders acknowledged that the team had a wealth of freshman talent, but that only time would tell who was ready to step up. "[Freshman talent] is unpredictable, inexperienced," Penders said back in February. After splitting a doubleheader with Providence Saturday in its conference opener, the softball team returns home for a pair of rivalry games this week against Central Connecticut State and Boston College. At the beginning of the season, the Ottawa Senators were favored to win the Northeast division, but it's the Montreal Canadians who are in the first place and poised to make a run at the Stanley Cup. While it is still early on the season - only six races in - there are a few things that we have found out about how the rest of the season might unfold.
