Women's Basketball: Huskies Face Rutgers, Final Four At Stake

TAKE THREE

GREENSBORO, N.C. - It was a matchup that seemed to be inevitable. On Selection Monday, cheers - of shock, amazement, anger, confusion - came from the UConn locker room as Rutgers was announced as the No. 2 seed in the Huskies' region. Destiny. Fate. Blind luck. (0) comments

Charles Has More On Mind Than Milestone

GREENSBORO, N.C - Tina Charles has been one of UConn's big three players on the court for most of the season. Now just 22 points away from the 1000-point mark, she has the opportunity to become the third UConn women's basketball player to reach the milestone this season. (0) comments

Give The Women A Chance

Tuesday night is a big night for UConn, but unless you happened to glance at the story to the right of this column, there's a good chance you don't know about it. Huskies Trying To Get Another Win Streak Rolling

After splitting a doubleheader with Providence Saturday in its conference opener, the softball team returns home for a pair of rivalry games this week against Central Connecticut State and Boston College. UConn (11-11, 1-1 Big East) had won five straight games before dropping the front end of their match-up with the Friars 6-0. (0) comments

At the beginning of the season, the Ottawa Senators were favored to win the Northeast division, but it's the Montreal Canadians who are in the first place and poised to make a run at the Stanley Cup. If they make it, it will be their first trip since last winning it in 1993, lead by hall of fame goalie Patrick Roy. (0) comments

After Sunday's race at Martinsville, the NASCAR Sprint Cup season is one sixth complete. While it is still early on the season - only six races in - there are a few things that we have found out about how the rest of the season might unfold. Jeff Burton Is Re-Establishing Himself As One Of The Premier Drivers On The Circuit I for one thought a few seasons back that Burton was on the downside of his career. (0) comments

Everyone loves the underdog. Well, this year, they aren't getting the underdog. Just two weeks ago when the tournament began, I thought that the top seeds in this year's NCAA Tournament were flawed and perhaps a little overrated. North Carolina doesn't like to play defense. (0) comments
