Between Fall 2005, when Jonathan XII was retired, and March 9 of this year, the closest UConn had to a real husky dog was the mascot in a white suit who paraded around at sporting events. But that has since changed. Jonathan XIII, UConn's newest mascot, debuted at a March 9 men's basketball game against Cincinnati at Gampel Pavilion and has been making up for lost time since with long walks and plans to rival UConn alum Dale Nosel - better known as the blue-and-white guy - for the number of UConn sporting events attended.
