In the past week, the Storrs campus has seen a number of activist festivals, gatherings, parties and campouts. Each has drawn a strong turnout while promoting its message and earning new adherents. The Office of Alcohol and Other Drug Services (AOD) has researched a comprehensive history of the origins of Spring Weekend to help the university better understand and prepare for the event this weekend, as well as inspire the student body to return to its roots. (3) comments
Despite the fact that most of their members were absent, a hip-hop break dancing crew played to a large crowd of students at Jorgensen Tuesday at the Spring Weekend Rally. After the demonstration, SUBOG handed out free T-shirts and goody bags filled with whistles, flashlights, bandages and condoms. (0) comments
