Football Tyvon Branch, CB - Branch made a large impact his junior and senior years, starting at both cornerback and safety. During the 2007 season he was a standout on special teams, leading the Big East in kick return average (28.9 yards) and becoming the first player in UConn history to return two kickoffs for touchdowns in the same season. UConn center fielder Micah Truax won her second consecutive Big East Player of the Year award, becoming just the fourth player in conference history to take home the award in back-to-back seasons. The NCAA announced Tuesday that UConn met Academic Progress Rate (APR) standards in all 24 of its sports programs. The APR is based on the grades of players in each sport over the last four years.
