Late in the second half of the UConn men's soccer game, Toni Stahl soared into the air at midfield trying to get his head on the incoming soccer ball. Instead of finding the ball, he found the back of a Stony Brook defender's head. Stahl stumbled to the ground and eventually made it to the sideline. (0) comments
Defensive prowess was a trademark of UConn's Big East Champion team in 2007, and it appears 2008 will be much of the same. Mike Mauro: Considering the Giants are the only team in the entire NFL to be the reigning Super Bowl Champions, I think it is safe to say that they are clearly the best team in New York. With Super Bowl MVP Eli Manning more confident and improved, an offensive line returning all of its starters once again, three productive running backs and with a defense that, despite its losses, can still get after the quarterback, the Giants will win the best division in football - the NFC East.
