Gaffigan keeps weekend family-friendly

Amid generous applause and a sold-out crowd, comedian Jim Gaffigan took the stage at Jorgensen Center for the Performing Arts Saturday night, reassuring audiences that he was not, in fact, that pale middle-aged guy from "Capote." The co-star of "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" kept audiences laughing consistently throughout the night, beginning his routine by saying he went bowling earlier in the week. (0) comments

Cornucopia Fest attracts many with unique activities

Despite dreary weather there was a large turnout yesterday at UConn's Cornucopia Fest. The festival was held in the Young building quad, with activities also occurring in the UConn Dairy Bar and the Horse Barn Hill Arena. There were countless tent exhibits, ranging from an allied health sciences table to a hands-on wood chopping area, overlooked by the Timber sports team. (0) comments
