Editorial: Vehicles should have the right-of-way, not pedestrians

Everyone knows what a pain it is to drive around campus while classes are in session with the traffic, the nonexistent parking spots and of course, the jaywalking students. However, with numerous crosswalks all over campus, there is no need for pedestrians on campus to inconvenience drivers. (1) comment

Nate Miles is in trouble. But he isn't the first one on the UConn men's basketball team who has been arrested, and sadly, he probably won't be the last. Miles' expulsion from UConn last Thursday garnered national attention, and deservedly so. He is the latest in a string of men's basketball players from UConn who have allegedly broken the law and thrown a negative spotlight on our university. (5) comments

During the 1992 presidential campaign, President George H. W. Bush frequently told voters that they should re-elect him because his extensive experience in foreign affairs would serve America well in a changing world. For this argument, President Bush was derided as an out-of-touch elitist trying to change the subject from his lack of ideas for helping Americans through a recession. (2) comments

You know you're an engineer when a teacher expects you to find an answer but does not give you the question. I found out the hard way that the UConn cops don't like it when you run around at night with a ski mask on, even when you tell them you're wearing it because it's cold. (0) comments
